Research Summary

Professor Kippelen’s research ranges from the investigation of fundamental physical processes (nonlinear optical activity, charge transport, light harvesting and light emission), to the design, modeling, fabrication and testing of light-weight flexible optoelectronic devices based on nanostructured organic materials and composites.
Research Interests:
• Organic light-emitting devices for displays and lighting
• Flexible organic photovoltaic cells for power generation
• Low-cost organic electronics for RFID
• Real-time holography and signal processing
• Ultra-fast photonics
