Research Summary
Research focuses on the design, fabrication, and behavior of nano- and micro-scale polymer-based devices, such as BioMEMS sensors, hypodermic needles, and materials with functionally graded dielectric properties. Research interests lie in fundamental understanding of the behavior of polymer-based micro- and nano-scale devices, so as to enable their design and manufacture. Manufacturing processes research, including the design of processing equipment, stresses the application of mass production techniques so as to improve the economics of these devices.
